NBA Usage Rate Leaders, 2026-27
What is usage rate in the NBA?
Usage rate is the share of his team’s possessions a player ends, with a shot, a trip to the free-throw line or a turnover, while he is on the floor. A high number means the offense runs through him; it says nothing about whether those possessions were efficient, which is what the true shooting column is for.
Top 50 among players with at least 100 minutes and 5 games in the 2026-27 regular season, through Monday, November 2. Usage and PIE (Player Impact Estimate, a player’s share of the game’s positive events) are minutes-weighted averages of each game’s value from BALLDONTLIE’s advanced box score; true shooting is points / (2 × (FGA + 0.44 × FTA)). Total min is minutes played this season.
